Travel Your Horizons With The Guided Tour

August 7August 12

Ari Segal, The Guided Tour’s Director, attends the Adult Resort each year. He never misses it as it’s one of his favorite trips. Our adult camp offers swimming (weather permitting,) softball, volleyball, basketball and tennis for those who are sports enthusiasts. For those who wish to go at a more leisurely pace, there is bingo, movies and arts and crafts. Everyone enjoys the disc jockeys who entertain at the evening dances. Staff & campers get together to present a talent show, as well as play twilight softball and basketball games. What could be more fun than a hayride & outdoor campfire under the stars! As pioneers in the field of recreation and socialization for persons with special needs, The Guided Tour combines its camping experience with its travel experience. This is exemplified at the Adult Resort where a number of trips are arranged off camp to such places as the Train Museum, the Indian Museum, bowling.  We also enjoy a delicious lunch while we are out during these day-long excursions. We’ll meet our travelers in Philadelphia and drive to the Adult Resort. Many travelers fly in the night before this fun trip and arrangements can be made for our staff to meet you at the Philadelphia Airport and stay overnight with you. By doing so, travelers from long distances can meet up with our group the next morning and travel to the Adult Resort together. Many travelers also choose to meet us at the Adult Resort, and we are happy to send directions to those persons driving directly to camp. Registration should be accompanied with a deposit of $500 or indication of payment through an agency or alternate funding source. Please be aware that the cost of this trip does not include airfare (if needed,) nor the hotel room and staffing the night before the trip officially begins. Please call The Guided Tour office for more details.
